Deadly Sins 1
Deadly Sins 1 is a portrait broken into four pieces that gives a face to Greed, Envy, Pride, and Lust. Inspired by Dante and Picasso’s Guernica, the pieces can be arranged freely, creating a new expression each time. Mirrored shards reflect the viewer, who becomes part of the face that is watching them, and the mouth hides a message in Morse code.
The four pieces are sold together as a single work.
This is the first work in an ongoing series on the seven deadly sins. Three more studies are planned to complete the series.
